How can training technologies support business skills training and learning?

Modern businesses universally choose to support their learning strategy with learning technologies. The system which supports all of this is often called a Learning Management System or LMS.

We first started to develop learning technologies in the year 2000 and since then our learning and training technologies have grown to become multi-lingual and expanded into a myriad of areas of e-learning, apps and talent and performance tracking software.

Our learning and training technologies help businesses and learners to increase both speed and depth of learning across a range of areas. Apex Learning Management Systems support and inspire a 70:20:10 learning philosophy.

The 70:20:10 model identifies a way to optimise the value and benefits of company learning when:

Taped-Paper-1
Taped-Paper-2
Taped-Paper-3

Our My721 technology is an excellent support to a 70:20:10 training philosophy because it helps to organise and co-ordinate those three elements. It does this by:

Managing the completion of prework such as self-assessment questionnaires, case studies, videos or e-learning which are circulated before a formal training event. Also asking learners and their managers to provide objectives before formal training. This creates lots of self-directed activity (70%) before the formal training (10%) and engages managers of learners as coaches (20%).

Capturing outputs and action plans generated during formal training sessions and making these available to learners and coaches immediately after the formal session. This facilitates a bridge to transfer skills learned in the formal training session into the working environment and provides substance which managers can use for coaching.

Providing a capability tracking framework which gives data on how the participant has developed capability throughout the entire Learning Journey. This encourages personal ownership of the Learning Journey by the learner, helps the manager to focus coaching and also lets the company see their return on investment in training and development.

Apex Learning Management Systems are packed with an array of brilliant and useful features and functions. From the unconventional relationship centred design, and the way the system organises learning events, delivers eLearning and helps managers to coach, track and evaluate along the Learning Journey, to storing documents, streaming videos, creating training records and enabling effective assessment.
